Self-Care Academy for Educators

Educators are natural givers who spend endless hours offering support to their students, colleagues, communities, and families, often leaving themselves neglected. Teachers are impacted by some of the highest levels of stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue and yet rarely take the time that is necessary for self-care. Moreover, the term “self-care” has become weaponized for educators, putting the blame of an overworked profession back on the teachers. The importance of educators taking care of themselves is even reflected as one of the main components in trauma-informed care (compassion resilience). When teachers take time to replenish their spirit and make their own personal health and wellness a priority, they are able to serve others fully and be the best version of themselves for others.

“I so appreciated taking time out of my week to reflect with like minded people about the craziness of this time. The topics, relaxation time, and reality check was SO worth it! Thank you for all your time & effort in making this possible!”

“Living and teaching during this pandemic has been incredibly difficult for each of us. They make it bearable with dedicated time each week devoted to our well-being as we help our students. They have created a safe space for our self-care.”
